Made for your order
Most Jane Dope apparel is made after you order it. We create the designs you choose rather than producing large runs of finished clothing and hoping somebody wants them later.
That’s our approach to mindful production: making for demand, not filling shelves. It helps limit excess finished inventory, though making clothes still uses materials and creates offcuts and packaging. We also keep selected pieces in stock, so check each listing for availability.
02
The fabric behind the colour
Our prints aren’t shy. For our sublimation-printed pieces, we choose polyester-based fabrics because they work with the printing process to deliver saturated colour, intricate detail and long-lasting prints.
Different blends and fabric constructions give each piece its stretch, drape and texture. We choose the material to suit the garment as well as the artwork. Our genuinely knitted designs and embroidered pieces use different techniques, detailed in their product descriptions.
03
A little heat.
A lot of colour.
With heat sublimation, artwork is printed onto special transfer paper, then applied with heat. The dye enters the polyester fibres rather than sitting on top as a raised print layer. The result is full-colour detail with the fabric’s texture still coming through.
Follow your garment’s care label to help keep that colour looking DOPE.
04
From production to you
Our direct-fulfilled pieces ship from production to you, without a separate stop in our own warehouse. No stocking those finished pieces with us before sending them out again.
It’s a simpler fulfilment route, not a claim of zero-impact shipping. Made-to-order pieces also need production time, so check the current delivery information when planning your outfit.
