The ball portion is soldered to the pick which allows for a good grip, and the pick portion of the tool is made from stainless steel (a sturdy and non-malleable metal) so the pick will always keep its intended straight shape.
Can also be used to as a joint-rolling helper.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Use warm water and non-abrasive soap, and soft cloth to polish metal ball
Use isopropyl or your favourite cleaner to clean the stainless steel pick
Care & Maintenance
Most pieces are machine washable. Wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colours. No bleach. Hang to dry or tumble dry low (air dry is best). Do not iron directly on prints—turn inside out or use a cloth barrier.
